Watch batteries can function for 2 to 5 years, depending on the type of the watch, usage and circumstances. An empty battery needs to be replaced as soon as possible to avoid the risk of leakage that can cause a serious damage.

If you want to keep your watch waterproof, we advise you to have it tested every year and with every battery replacement, and if necessary have the seals replaced.
